Artist Bio

Isadora Goldschneider is a multi-disciplinary designer, musician, fiber-artist and dancer with a Master of Fine Arts in Design from UC Davis. Her MFA research focused on grief, textiles, sound and embodiment. Isadora’s multi-media MFA installation Remnants: an Entanglement of Time, Grief and Textiles incorporated elements of experimental textile and garment design, projection and sound and was on display at the Manetti Shrem Museum of Art in Davis, CA in June of 2025.

Isadora's designs center zero waste principles, using second hand textiles and upcycled garments to reduce her impact on the planet. Zero waste principles also help shape the outcome of the design, as the quality, size/shape and content of the material is considered. Isadora aims to reduce the overal lifecycle impact of her designs by also sourcing local wool and dye materials.

Isadora collaborates with dancers, musicians and artists in the Nevada City, CA area. In 2026 she danced for Rebecca Bone and Azriel LaMarca in the Dance Because Festival, made costumes for Juliet Lin's performance "Clouds" and played music both for Contact Improvisation Nevada City and Shadow Cabinet. Isadora plays solo accordion influenced by eastern european folk styles and creates original compositions. She plays accordion in a musical quartet with musicians Murray Campbell (fiddle, oboe), Randy McKean (clarinet and saxiphone) and Amy Reed (guitar), their quartet explores acoustic/electric experimental improvisation. ​
